        I had a bad bicycle accident and broke my hand last year. I’m a serious amateur pianist and worried I wouldn’t be able to play the piano well again. Dr. Gray was the emergency hand surgeon on call at Penn/Presbyterian Hospital in Philadelphia. He operated on my hand, inserted pins and fixed a ruptured sagittal band. My hand was immobilized for two months but after the pins came out, I was playing Chopin again. Many thanks to Dr. Gray.

        First Time I met him, Easy to talk to, very personable, can’t say enough good things about him, found my problem, immediately took care of the problem, amazing bedside manner even though it was just an office visit everything you look for in a specialty doctor and his happens to be hands thanks Dr. Gray!!!!

        Congenial manner. Recent hand surgery. Excellent Treatment! Surgery to recover additional voluntary movement in injured finger. No guarantee, of course, yet effective fluid approach.

      Benjamin L. Gray, MD, MSCE

      Dr. Benjamin L. Gray is a board certified hand and upper extremity surgeon. He specializes in surgery of the hand, wrist and elbow, treating all ailments from trauma, arthritis and infections to bone, joint, tendon or nerve problems. He is particularly interested in Dupuytren's disease and nerve injuries, performing nerve repairs as well as nerve transfers. Dr. Gray is the principal investigator at the University of Pennsylvania for a world-wide study on painful neuromas as well as a national study looking at outcomes of nerve injuries in the arm. As Director of Hand Research, he works closely with the Human Motion Laboratory to develop novel tools for treating hand conditions.
