Trolley Car Diner & Deli

The food was great. I got the corned beef reubon. The waitresses were very kind and professional. And I heard their homemade donuts go by quick, so get them while you can.

Friendly staff, large menu that was incredible. We decided to take our pie slices home for later and were not disappointed by the Granny Smith Apple Pie! I had the Chicken Parmesan. The chicken was moist and cooked well with the red sauce. We loved that there were a long list of sides you could choose with your meal. The salad was fresh, and the soup was house made and fabulous. Will be going again soon!

The service was so slow I began to wonder if our server had gotten on the trolley car and rode off into the sunset, never to return. When the food finally did arrive, I found my eggs to be undercooked, and the beef to be sour, somehow. I will definitely start looking for another place to eat in Chestnut Hill.

Bathrooms were a mess and there was no toilet paper. That’s a horrible sign for a restaurant. When I spoke to the young staff they simple just didn’t care. Maybe management should start hiring more mature individuals.
