I started dialysis at DaVita Grant One about 6 weeks ago, going 3x per week and 4 hours each time. I really like it there. The facility is nicely maintained, conveniently located, and the staff are very nice and helpful. There are several dialysys techs who hook me up to a machine shortly after I arrive, and unhook me when I'm finished. My individual health issues are addressed by a nurse, dietician, social worker, and other office staff. I'm weighed before and after, they check my temperature, heart, and lungs, and they assign me a lounge chair with my own TV and earplugs. They also gave me my own gym bag, blanket, pillow, and other small items the first week I did dialysis. They have their own pharmacy service if you wish them to monitor and fill your prescriptions. They put me on their 3-7pm shift, but are kind enough to usually take me earlier if I request it. My only negative is that they allow people to talk loudly and Facetime on their cellphones and computers, and there are a few patients who annoyingly do so for hours (a couple of them can be heard from anywhere in the large room, even with earplugs or headphones on). I have to listen to my TV, music, or movies very loudly to drown out these rude patients. A few patients also consume beverages, meals, and junk snacks during their dialysis sessions, something that annoys me and is not recommended from a health standpoint.
