I booked an appointment and a hour before my appointment while I was driving there I received a message saying I would have to reschedule for the next week. I rescheduled and when the day showed up they were not there. I told them the ways they have been running business was very unprofessional and she instantly offered to refund me my deposit fee. This is my second time coming to this establishment.My first experience was okay.Taylor was late 30minutes and had a nasty attitude.Not to mention her breath was not up to par!!But at least my eyebrows were done and looked good. My touch up appointment was for today at noon, I attempted many times up to a week prior to text them to confirm my appointment with no response from them. 1 hour prior to my appointment I get an automated message reminding me of my appointment so I proceed to drive from Jersey to PA. When I arrive I walk over to the shop and notice the windows are gated.I knocked on the door and stood outside for 20minutes calling the phone number they provided countless of times with NO answer. I am currently driving back to Jersey with my eyebrows not done. HORRIBLE customer service. I hate it when people waste my time! They didnt even have the audacity to contact me to reschedule or cancel my appointment.Very unprofessional!!!!!!! Do not even bother booking with them. Im veryy angry and disgusted with them! I was very excited to find and support a black owned business so imagine the disappointment when coming in contact with this sister!!! I originally booked for ombré x eyebrow service, this is a semipermanent makeup brow shading the total price for the service is 550.00( 350.00 first appointment 200.00 for manditory follow up 2 months later). Needless to say this is a somewhat expensive service. I was NewYork Taylorrs aka Stephanies last appointment for the day so when she displayed an irritable demeanor I chalked it to a long day. She was very short with me absolutely no conversation. One word answers to my questions and just all around kind of nasty. After the service I went home and noticed that my brows werent only crooked but not what Id booked for but a totally different shading than what Id payed for! It was a cheaper version of what Id booked. So I called and left several messages. I got no response from her or her staff. Fast forward 2 months later I book my appointment for the touch up. Her assistant was soooooo unprofessional and you can sense the hood vibes through text!! I was going to share my experience with Taylorr but quickly decided not to when I arrived. I realized that she and her assistant may very well be the same people. I arrived 2 hours early because of a miscommunication via text. When I tried to discuss my eyebrow placement and the shading mistake that she made she grew very defensive and almost cocky and even had the nerve to say so what do you want me to do!!?! Smh the entire time we conversed she was on a phone call and had an audience of her new teeth whitening guy and his client. The disrespect and lack of customer appreciation was paramount! As a colleague in the beauty industry I was greatly disgusted in her behavior. She lacked poise and good ethics very sad to see a potential great business become another statistic of what to expect from black businesses. I was interested in taking her class for certification but immediately changed my mind when i saw how she handled me. Also during my 550.00 service she was on her phone in full blown conversation the entire time. I was so mad at myself for feeling the need to complete my service with her not thinking to just find another artist yo give my hard earned money to. Any way if you desire quality service, respect, professionalism and upscale environment this is NOT the place for you!! Do your research read the reviews and believe what you see. Stephanie aka New York taylorr doesnt even respond to her reviews which is just another sign of how she doesnt care about what her customers feel or think of her provided service. So sorry to have to write this but it is necessary. My end result is patchy and uneven brows!! Dont do it!!! There are a bunch of eyebrow artist that actually respect their clients Ill be scheduling an appointment to fix my brows with one of them and Ill post the name and contact information once completed along with pictures of the the work.
