I had a Swedish massage and facial (had a big gift certificate) here a few weeks ago. It was not a pleasant experience. I told the masseuse where I had knots, in this case, my upper back and calves. The massage was an hour and a half, and there were many times when I was trending up in pain. The therapist was using more of a deep poking method instead of the usual Swedish technique. I found myself looking forward to the end of the massage. My feet were really sore and I still felt the knots I came in with, so decided that I may need to wait a few days for everything to settle, but that never happened. Next was the facial. It was my first facial so I really didn't know what to expect. However, I'm pretty sure I walked out of there with a whole bunch more spider veins on my face than I had before. Aside from that, the spa itself was decorated like a grandma's living room. There were a warren of small spaces, cramped with old floral patterned furniture. All of the bathroom facilities had mold, toilet paper sitting on the back of the toilet instead of in the dispenser, and for some reason both times I went in the previous person has not flushed. Gross.

I had a wonderful haircut / style experience with Josephina. She is not only very good at her job but also hilarious! The staff was able to accommodate a calendar switch for me last minute. I had a fantastic experience and look forward to returning.

I went in for a Beyond mani/pedi (with the pedi having an extended massage), and I didn't even get any massage! I was so pissed! The pedi was $77-I should have just went to a regular old nail salon-I would have gotten a massage there at least! Lady was nice, but not nice enough to justify $77!!
