Authentic Bartending School

I worked at this place as a receptionist and they paid me hardly anything. I made less each week than it cost for 1 person to attend their courses. I was a hard worker and the owner talked down to me like I was a child (she would constantly say "Do you understand what I'm saying to you?"). She would also make me send out faxes to rent out her summer home in the Poconos. Sorry but that's no way to treat your employees nor is it professional. The owner is money hungry and instructed the workers to pry information of the people interested in enrolling and find out how much money they made and who would be paying for their courses. That's all they cared about is money. As a person behind the scenes, I saw that they could care less about job placement and certainly didn't care about the people that work for them.

On October 23, 2014 I registered with the Edison, NJ location. Went back to start school on 10/27/14 and there was a "For Rent" sign on the door. They had completely vanished with my money. I have contacted them and continue to contact them via facebook and their bogus 899 # and no one has contacted me AT ALL. I have yet to receive my money from them. DO NOT BE FOOLED. Do your research. I have exercised every reasonable effort to resolve this matter with them before going to file a motion with the Courts.

Wow! Thought I was the only person with a bad experience here. Please listen to those who recommended doing research before you attend this school. I had to pay an additional amount to sign up again because I was not able to make the start date I was given due to other circumstances. When I came to register again, I was told that I could not use the deposit I gave and would have to place another. All in all, I found a school (BarStar on Locust Street) and I now have my certification along with a few others that weren't offered or even spoken about during my courses at Authentic Bartending.

Awful company that does not care about helping you once they have your money. Guaranteed job placement promise is bogus because they never return calls or emails. Terrible, don't spend your money on this terrible school.
