They rent out units as hotel suites - just brings more people to the building who don't actually live there.

Wonderful place to live. Front desk staff is very kind and helpful, I love being steps away from Rittenhouse Square, and Rival Bros. coffee is some of the best in Philly. I also enjoy talking about the famous architecture to out of town guests. It's great to come home and walk through such a magnificent archway every day.

I just moved out last month after living on the 4th floor of the Annex for almost 4 years. The place was off to a great start until greed and incompetent management took over in 2015. I was notified two days ago that I will be charged $125 to clean my bedroom carpet, the dimensions of the bedroom are about 12x12, if that. While it is illegal to charge a tenant for carpet cleaning unless it is used beyond normal wear and tear or is damaged, I pointed out this fact from the Community Legal Services website and just about every other website to the property manager (who appears to be a one woman show,) and she and the 'attorneys' are still refusing to give me back the $125. As a result, I informed them I will file a small claim with the Philadelphia Municipal Court. It will cost them more money to go to court than to pay me the money I am rightfully owed, but someone clearly needs to learn a lesson here. It is truly a shame as this building is nice, the owner truly cares about it and invests a lot of time in money in re-vamping it to make it one of the nicest buildings in The City. But the leasing Ladies and even the door and desk people are friendly and more competent than the property manager, and I was no longer willing to pay for bad service. There have been tons of complaints between the tenants both in person and online and even among staff about her dismissive and uninformed attitude, almost as though she makes the rules, yet there is no one to hold her accountable. The main reason I moved out is because I felt I was no longer getting what I was paying for in terms of customer service and respect. Though I loved my apt, I do not miss worrying about dealing with Domonique, but ironically I was still dealing with her after trying to get my deposit back. Now I will just let the City court do what it does best.
