They put a new roof on my father's home. Did not replace rotten wood. They also did not put a roof vent on the house. They were dismissive and rude when contacted about these issues. Service: Roof repair

I had the most bizarre experience with Keefer Roofing. I had water leaking in my attic when it rained and I was calling around to get an estimate for repairing and/or replacing my roof depending on the damage to the roof. When I spoke to who I believe was the owner of Keefer Roofing and I explained to him that I would like someone to evaluate my roof and provide an estimate for repair and/or replacement of my roof. The owner responded by telling me that he does not "do scheduling", so he would not be setting up an appointment for this. I thought that was odd, but I figured he was busy and I appreciated him taking a look between his jobs in town. I gave him my address and told him to call me when he was able to evaluate the work that he thought was needed. Fast-forward 5 days and I received a phone call back from the owner. He informed me that he fixed my roof and the bill would be $200. I was completely flummoxed! I told him that I did not ask him to do that and reiterated what my original request was - an estimate for repairing and/or replacing my roof. He became irate and told me it was my prerogative to not pay him for his work. He said he did me a favor by repairing my roof as it was going to rain the next day, repeatedly told me that my roof "was a mess", and did not provide me with any additional information about the condition of my roof. At this point, I already knew from having several other companies look at my roof that I needed a new ridge vent and my roof was within 2-3 years from needing to be replaced. I asked if he would still provide me with a quote for additional work & he continued to rant about the "mess" in which my roof was in and that he got "putty all over himself" doing whatever fix job he did. He then informed me that his schedule was full through to the next year when I asked about if he would quote a replacement. That was the end of the conversation. I have not confirmed if the work that I didn't want was actually done or not.

Scott Keefer of Keefer Roofing and Siding helped me out in early spring. I got a leak in my garage and he was able to pinpoint area of leak via my description and viewing internet pictures over phone. Quoted me a price of $150. He came the next day while I was out and fixed the leak. He also inspected my roof and nailed down a few loose singles.He assured me that my roof would last through the summer. I got 4 estimates on replacing my roof including from Keefer Roofing. Keefer was the most reasonable offer. They did not complete the work in 2 days as some others promise but informed me prior to signing contract that Keefer wasnt a 2 day roofing company. Keefer did do quality work. I also added additional work to include new gutters, new soffits, and some siding. Scott Keefer went above in helping find a siding color that I wanted. They also installed 2 new outside lights for me. Im very pleased and grateful for the work done by Keefer Roofing and Siding. I love my new chimney cover.
