We have been in our Apex home for 5 years. The front just fell off the second bathroom sink cabinet. The other flaws have presented themselves long ago. The house has 2 siding doors. There are no wind baffles in the tracks. Found out when wasps were getting into the house. Surprise, you could see outside. Little annoying things, bubbles in the vinyl flooring and a small chunk of something under one of the planks, they didnt want to pull up the floor to fix so it remains. Bedroom carpet extends past the doorway. Windows that don t work, siding falling off in the first year. Should have been clued in when we went to install the shelves in the upper kitchen cabinet and they were jammed into the cabinet and required the builder to come and remove them and cut to size. One cabinet the hinge screw was stripped and the door was hanging off. The screws in the shower stall were overtightened and one of the stops broke. Never got that replaced and got tired of trying. Little things like staples holding the floor in place outside of the shower stall. Still have an ink mark on the mud room floor where the carpet wasnt cut correctly. Windows that leak air, you can see the curtains blowing, and the windows dont open and close properly. Rusty nail pops after 2 years in a bedroom. For what we paid for the home with upgrades we could have had a custom built home. The first salesman we had was a great guy who encouraged us to come back and see how the build was progressing. Unfortunately he left the company and his replacement was unhappy that we wanted a final trip through the house before it was delivered. Started as a great experience and ended on a not so positive note. Service: General construction
