My insurance company covered economy class rentals after I had a car accident. I reserved a car in that class from this branch through my insurance. When I arrived, the car I reserved was not available so they upgraded me to an SUV they had in stock. I was unaware that they were also charging me more for that vehicle. I received a large bill that I wasn't anticipating and asked what the charges were for. They said they were copays for my insurance. I made the mistake of not double checking this and paying the bill. After I returned the car, a week went by and they called me for another payment of over 100 dollars. I asked what it was for and again, I was told it was for copays. I didn't have the money to pay the bill at the time as it was a few days before payroll so I said I could pay when I had the money the following week. This is when they asked me if I had any friends or family who could pay my bill for me. This was completely unprofessional, but I simply said no. Then they became condescending and asked if I understood how a service works and that services need to get paid. I politely bit my tongue and told them I understand how services work and that I can't pay if I don't have the money to do so. They told me they would send my bill to collections, so I responded that I understood and they can do what they need to do.
I contacted my insurance immediately to see why I was being charged so much for something that should have been covered. It turns out they charged me for the upgraded vehicle which they were not supposed to do. Had I known I was going to be charged more, I would not have accepted the "free upgrade". I then contacted corporate complaints to tell them how I was spoken to and about the deceptive upgrade practice at this branch. The customer service told me that it was inappropriate and they would put in for me to get a refund. I would hear back within 48 hours.
It's now over a month and 7 phone calls to customer service later and not only have I not been refunded, but no one has called me back and I have been charged the additional amount that I contested on my credit card without my consent. I escalated this to the area manager today and again have been told I will hear back in 48 hours. I will continue to make a complaint until I am refunded and don't recommend this branch to anyone. It was already hard enough going through an accident and losing my vehicle to now have to deal with deceptive business practices and condescending employees who have no intention of refunding the money they took from me. Then charging my credit card without my consent and the possibility that I may have to go through my bank and more hoops in order to settle this issue.

I had one of the best experiences at the media pa location if you go in please ask for the new branch manager zoie she is the best a real sweetheart she will make sure you leave with a smile

If you're from out state and need a rental go somewhere else. Because they can't use your debit card if you're from out of state.
I mean who needs to rent a car if you're traveling here from another state....

Completely awful experience, if I could give negative stars I would!! Stay away from this place, they’ll cheat you out of your money instead of helping you!!
I got into a small accident but didn’t have rental car coverage but had progressive (if you’re a progressive customer you’ll pay out of pocket but at the discounted rate) disaster avoided right? NO they never contacted my insurance agent until AFTER and said that if I pay the full balance now I can always get it adjusted later but that never happened!! THEY SAID THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO SINCE IVE ALREADY PAID MY BALANCE AND MY ACCOUNT IS NOW CLOSED!!
Don’t go here, they’ll cheat you out of your money. Go to the enterprise in Glen Mills off 202 instead!!
