All of the U-Haul services in Claremont, Newport, and Walpole advertised on site a price for a truck, only to reveal at checkout they don’t have the simple 10’ truck. The only place available was in Lebanon. It said I’d received a total of 90 miles and would come to $100 after insurance and a furniture dolley because they gave me a discount to drop it off in Lebanon instead of Newport. I figured why not it’s only an extra 20 miles. The day before reservation I get a call from Lebanon saying they don’t have a 10’ truck available for one way, but since I said I’d drop it off in Lebanon they’d rent me their local truck for $40 plus $0.89 a mile! This would end up costing me $150!!!! I didn’t even want to drop off in Lebanon but said I would for the discount. Plus, how can they have a 10’ truck for in town but not the one way price if I was still willing to bring it back? PATHETIC!!’
