Crunch fitness in Lancaster, Pa is definitely the worst commercial gym in the area. A majority of their equipment is broken at all times, missing pieces, borderline making it dangerous to work out there. Theyve raised their prices significantly over the past year and not a single benefit was added to the customer. One of the most frustrating parts has to be actually canceling your membership.. you can sign up so easily online or in person but canceling your membership has to be done by calling a phone number that no one answers. You cannot cancel membership in person or on their website. I finally verified my gym membership was canceled after being told it was in my contract to pay another months worth of membership upon canceling. When I asked the manager why it was so difficult to cancel my membership and that it felt like they designed this system to deter members from canceling I was told that my $18 a month does not make or break their business. I felt like I wasnt in the wrong for asking that question but wasnt expecting such an irrelevant response with a motive to belittle me. I honestly had to laugh in the end and just wanted to share my experience here.

Its affordable, and even then the prices are going up unannounced, and its not worth it. The machines are constantly broken and do not get fixed in a timely manner whatsoever. The environment can make people feel very uncomfortable and the front desk does an overall poor job of dealing with harassment and instills little confidence in members regarding this. While big, the gym is often overcrowded. The sinks in the locker room rarely work and the cleaning stations are often out of paper towels or cleaning spray. All this would maybe be worth it at $12 a month but not at $17 a month since they upped the price. If you can afford it, avoid Crunch. edit: its been a few months, its somehow gotten worse.

Not the kind of person to leave negative reviews but this is insane. FIRST thing is we signed up for the advertised fee of FIRST MONTH ONE DOLLAR and was charged the FULL AMOUNT 8 days later. Then, when we went to the gym we ONLY signed up because they offer child care. The childcare has been CLOSED for god knows how long and they cant update their website? Now they want to charge us ANOTHER MONTH TO CANCEL??????!!!!!!!!!! Refund and INTEGRITY please.

It was ok. But some of the equipment was run down and needed fixing. Like the cable machine.
