We hired Jeremy to re-do our family room. He was very responsive, and his price and recommendations seemed appropriate. However, his craftsmanship was extremely poor. Wall angles were haphazardly cut and not square. Trim edges looked like they were cut with a dull blade. Bottom trims were anywhere from ½” to nearly 4” off the floor. Outlets were covered, not cut out well or re-flushed to the wall. Then, the finishing was a complete disaster. We needed to have the room completely re-done by a separate finisher of Jeremy’s choosing and entirely re-painted – and got stuck with the re-painting bill out of pocket. Toward the last stages, Jeremy refused to interact with us personally or directly. He has never apologized for his poor work, and continues to provide excuses and deflect blame. He demonstrates a fundamental lack of understanding of the basics of the construction and contractor process. I wish we had taken time to shop around, and recommend that you do. We called Lancaster Drywall and Jeremy came and gave us an estimate. We knew it was over priced ($1200 to finish drywall that was already hung - spent less than 3 hours at our house) but we were just hoping that the job would get done quickly and well. He assured us that once he left the walls would be ready to paint. We had to call him back to the house to finish up spots that were missed. When he returned he spent 20 minutes here. There was a hole put into our ceiling that he fixed once pointed out. There was minimal clean up involved. For $1200 I would expect a professional job. We hung the plastic and asked that he tape it closed once he was in. It wasn’t secured any further. The entrance to our home is covered in drywall compound as well as our subfloor. No drop cloth used where compound was mixed. I would steer clear. I am very disappointed. Also- checks were cashed within one hour of leaving our home. Beware of what you’re getting into. Great service. I called Lancaster Drywall to help with patchwork repairs for a hole in my office drywall and to help install drywall in our personal basement. The service was efficient, the crew cleaned up afterwards, and our drywall is looking spectacular now. I can't recommend these guys enough. High quality and great prices. The best of both world. I highly recommend these guys. I had an older home and was very particular about getting the details right. They were able to demo, hang, frame, tape, and finish all the drywall in our bedrooms. Was very impressed and will be calling back for future projects. Thank you!
