Keep in mind that Sacony's management has changed hands quite a few times over the past year with the new management taking over in January of 2021 so not all the good and bad of Sacony is their doing. I've lived at Sacony Commons since the Spring of 2019 and I'll be moving out in the Spring of 2021. Honestly, I think it's pretty good place to live while in college. Its a decent balance between the simplicities of a dorm in that the rooms are compact and house only a twin size bed, but you don't share your room with anyone else. The apartment comes fully furnished, which you wouldn't find in a traditional apartment. And there is a washer and dryer in every unit, which to me is a game changer. All outside doors are secured by a key fob which is kinda nice knowing randos aren't walking in. My experience with the management has been indifferent. When I first moved in, the landlord was amazing and the nicest person I could've asked for. Everyone who came after them has not been able to compare, but I wouldn't say the management is bad in any way. The Maintenance staff are professional and timely, they always come within a couple days (if not same day) when a work order is put in. The complaints I have for Sacony are kind of trivial. We've had parties in the past in which were admittedly loud at inconvenient hours, but we always informed our neighbors beforehand but security would always knock on our door and tell us to keep it down regardless. I think my two biggest complaints would be the recycling situation and the overage charges. There are recycling bins onsite for all your recyclables and it's nice to be responsible and be able to recycle items. The problem is the recyclables aren't picked up very often so it's always full which makes it a hassle to do the right thing and recycle but it also makes the dumpster area look trashy and unkempt. The overages are a new issue in that everyone gets charged an electric overage every month. Quite literally all of my neighbors have gotten charged for overages and we've even had neighbors stop heating their apartment in the winter to try to prevent the overages to no avail. This is something that has just started happening recently with the new management. All in all, even with the couple of grievances I have, I still highly recommend Sacony if you're looking for an off-campus place to live.

Live somewhere else if you can help it. Apartments are small and expensive. All of the furniture is uncomfortable and out of date. Office hours are inconvenient for a student’s class schedule and the staff seem to only be interested in signing leases. Maintenance will fail to fix a recurring issue in the unit then the office will charge you for “breaking” it when you move out. Don’t fall for the positive reviews from many years ago, the office manager has changed four times in the last year plus and they would offer incentives for five star reviews. Save yourself and your wallet the trouble, and live anywhere else.

I’ve lived here for 2 years and I love it! It’s so convenient for college students because it’s a fully furnished apartment that also includes a washer/dryer and dishwasher! The staff is so helpful and accommodating for each individual resident’s needs! It’s so spacious and I always feel safe! Definitely would recommend!!
