    I closed with them abat 50 houses and planning to another 50 just great cooperation. Sometimes they let you close 3 or 4 the same time frame to safe your time. I work between ny ny pa . But they are rylly helpful Ofcourse if you know how to deal with them

    Where to begin.. delays, incomplete work and office staff that's unprofessional and downright condescending. If you try to get any answers they're clueless and almost never get back to you, need title search done? My advice, go elsewhere!!

    It's plain and simple. You definitely want to stay away from Bilbow Abstract when you are looking for an honest and dependable company to assist you with title insurance. For starters, there was a massive impending snow storm forecasted to hit the area, but when we attempted to contact Bilbow to reschedule, they were unable to accommodate and insisted on keeping the appointment on the books regardless. The inflexibility of Bilbow, the impending snow storm and the fact that my wife and I were coming from out of the area, led to us having to travel in advance and stay in a hotel the night before our closing. That was just the tip of the iceberg, on the day of our closing, various things were shady and did not go well. When I was attempting to take notes of all that was being explained to my wife and I, Bilbow joked and said that I would not remember everything so that it would be a waste of time. We also felt rushed like they wanted to get us out of the building in order to make another appointment so we did not feel like a priority. I'm sorry, but when it comes to owning our first home, I want to make sure we have all the information we need. Another thing that was a mess was that our Mortgage company provided paperwork for our title company to disperse funds to various banks as part of the closing. This was not done so Bilbow had to cut us checks for us to handle manually which was added undo burden on our part especially with the bad weather. The real kicker came when out of nowhere we were hit with an additional fee because Bilbow made a mistake by failing to list my wife on the deed to our house! This is because they did not thoroughly review all documentation indicating how the deed should be prepared. You might think that this is an honest mistake that could be rectified easily. Not the case. I technically had to sell my house (which was now in my name only) to both of us for $1. However, Bilbow was adamant that since they had to file a separate deed that listed both of us on it, that we needed to pay in full for the filling of two deeds which amounted to $250 instead of $125. When we questioned it, Betty from Bilbow was unprofessional and downright condescending stating that "if you don't sign and provide the check for both deeds, we don't close today!" My wife and I did not appreciate the unprofessionalism of how this was communicated, not to mention the lack of preparedness by Bilbow. We also communicated this situation to our Mortgage Company and they agreed that Bilbow should have never passed along the additional deed charge which was their mistake. Luckily, even though we had to pay for their mistake, our Realtor and her broker were going to work with us to reconcile Bilbow's mishap so it is nice to know that there are honest people in the world. The moral of the story is if you need title search done... please go elsewhere and save yourself unnecessary headaches. Stay away from Bilbow and let them to go back to the shire. They look to take advantage of first-time home buyers. That's a F grade in our book!
