Shining Dawn Bed & Breakfast

The Shining Dawn is a wonderful place to stay. My family and I enjoy visiting this beautiful old home (and the very friendly, helpful owners, Helen and Bruce) whenever we are in the area. Rooms are clean and inviting, meals are delicious, and the hospitality is excellent. If you want a place to feel like home while you're away, the Shining Dawn is it. I highly recommend it.

I stayed at the Shining Dawn with my Aunt Jayne some time back. It was one of the best experiences of our lives. .we were going to stay 2 nights but ended up staying 3. We were both hoping we'd return by now unfortunately things in life would not afford us the possibility. Hopefully someday we can. Helen & Bruce are amazing hosts.. greeting us at the front door. .Bruce carried our luggage to our room..which I might add was glorious with an adjoining porch. As you're walking up the stairs there is a huge stained glass window that's bigger than church window. .it's stunning! The garden room was one of our favorites. .peaceful. .listening to the fountain water in the sun drenched room. Bruce is very talented. .he restores clocks which are displayed throughout the house. Shall I talk about breakfast. .you literally don't have to eat again for the day..scrumptious! My Aunt Jayne loved Bruce's baked apple..he was kind enough to send her the recipe. While there we visited Gettysburg how awesome..on our 2nd night at Shining Dawn we had a few paranormal experiences that heightened our stay. We wish we could of stayed a week at Shining Dawn it's the best B&B we've ever stayed at. If anyone is visiting Gettysburg. .I strongly recommend staying at the Shining Dawn. A lovely, charming, Bed and Breakfast, impeccably kept and agreeable. We were very well treated. An outstanding option in Hanover.
