Staff treated VERY poorly the owner Eleanor has had state called on her several times she changes the prices on the rooms as pleases...she also is impossible to speak to doesn't listen to what any of the residents have to say abuse was reported to her by staff and she did NOTHING but brush it off she's lost serval residents because of THIS definitely do not recommend THIS place if you have someone you care ABOUT I promise THIS is not the place for them!

Don’t recommend this to anyone. The owner is talked about throughout the community and it’s not a good word! The facility isn’t in good condition all of the time, and let’s not forget how bad everyone is treated by the OWNER.. absolutely horrendous business!

Hell on earth! I cry every day after visiting my grandmother here. Seeing the way she is treated and the lack of care provided. Especially considering how expensive the place is. My grandmother asks for death over this place. Its heart breaking to say the least. I wish I could personally care for her so she wouldn't have to live in hell like this. The owner Eleanor flat out just does not care and is shady character. Some of the nurses are nice and I feel almost as bad for them knowing they are understaffed and have to deal with owner Eleanor. They rarely have enough people working to truly care for all the residents. They continually move around my grandmother's room just adding to her overall confusion. Things my family buys her will go "missing " all the time. If you dont want to be heart broken by seeing your family treated so poorly try something or somewhere else.

This is written by my husband. Everyone has a opinion and their own way at looking at things. So are the reviews of Fair Haven. The facility is older but is well maintained. It’s kept clean and organized. My mother-in-law entered Fair Haven over two years ago. From day one she was welcomed and treated with respect. Eleanor the owner try’s to operate the facility the way it needs to be operated. There are rules the state says must be followed. This is what must people see Eleanor taking care of. Every place like this sees a higher level of turn around when it comes to employees. People do not realize what it takes to be a caretaker of someone who has special needs. They enter into it thinking it will be easy and then realize it’s actually work. Back to my mother-in-law. She enjoyed being there. They have activities for the residents to participate in. There is something pretty much every day . Everything from bingo to crafts to bible study. Also volunteers come in for different activities. They took very good care of my mother-in-law. Even when she started slowing down they did not leave her behind or left out. They adjusted what needed to be done. My mother-in-law had a dramatic turn downwards. It was quick and sudden. They did not bat an eye to what needed to be done. They went over and above. It was my mother-in-law’s home and that was the way they treated her. In my opinion they did a great job. You need to form your own opinion.
