I have been going to West Penn Optical for years and really haven't had many issues with them except for the girl who helps you pick out glasses.  She was very rude.  The last straw came when I went for my yearly eye exam, my prescription changed slightly so they ordered me a new supply of contact lenses - a one year supply.  I had to pay for them up front.  They were delivered to my house but I was still using my leftover contacts because I didn't want to waste them.  I opened the box for my new supply and after wearing them for a week or so I realized I really couldn't see and it wasn't just because I was getting used to a new prescription.  I'm an accountant so seeing numbers correctly is very important to my job.  I called them this morning and they admitted that the contacts I received weren't the right prescription, but didn't admit if it was their fault or the manufacturer's fault for shipping me the wrong prescription.  They also said since the box was open, I couldn't return them for a refund.  Now I have a years supply of contact lenses that cost hundreds of dollars that I can't use and can't get a refund for.

Had my first appointment with West Penn Optical today and I was more than happy with my experience! Everyone was so kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. I hardly had to wait and I didnt feel rushed what-so-ever. I was offered many different samples and options for my contacts which was very helpful. The Dr. was fantastic - I will definitely be returning for future appointments!

You would think that after you pay so much money on a product, you would receive good treatment.  I was fooled.  The doctor is impatient when going through the examination.  Flying through the test, not giving enough time to appropriately compare which lens is best for my eye, then gets frustrated when I asked for more time and so she "ended the test prematurely."  Felt upset that I wasn't listened to.  Gets the prescription wrong, then blames it on "Your eyesight changed."  Eyesight does not spontaneously change within a week of the test.  When trying to get it fixed they charge me full price for their error.  Very unsatisfied with West Penn Optical.  I would not recommend.
