Clark Powells Restaurant and Bar

1st time and we will be going back. Needed a place to meet friends, and I like to find "locals" established places to find real food and avoid all the customers who fill chain restaurants. This is it. So Tuesday nights were Taco special and they are easy to eat, very good. They make their own "soft shell". Also tried their famous pizza. It deserves your trial, we really liked it. Specials on different nights. Their fresh cut fires excellent. Prices very fair. Read other reviews, look at the pics and plan on going to Clark Powell's! You will be rewarded for finding a local non chain restaurant. Vegetarian options: They will cook to your specifications and/or modify their regular items. Wheelchair accessibility: Sidewalk level roll in, all on that level, no steps.

We dropped in and it was the pizza special night. We enjoyed the pizza and of course you have to try the wings. Good service, good food, and good ambiance.

We really enjoyed the pizza and it was a bar style pie. Very thin/crispy crust with a sweet/tangy sauce. It was cooked perfectly. The service was excellent. They let you know your pizza will take 30 minutes so we got the loaded fries to hold us over. They were waffle style and very good. We got ranch for dipping instead of the sour cream they come with. Very reasonably priced and check into their specials on different nights of the week. My son goes to St. Francis University and we wanted to try something different for us in the area. We really enjoyed this place and will certainly return. Just thought I should mention everything was very clean and well-kept to include the bathrooms. Very nice family place. The bar room and dining room are separate.
