You’ll get to ride a variety of horses. The trainer Is tough but she will help you earn your horses trust. She makes sure you can walk, trot, and canter without stirrups. Her main goal is the whole lessen is to build strength in the rider. I once asked her how I did and she said “ you’re lucky you didn’t die”. She may be tough and hard to talk to. But you’ll always get an answer. Her main goal is safety. Because of her I do timed eventing and hunter jumper ❣️

Borrowdale Acres is one of the best well put together barns in NEPA. With a very knowledgeable trainer, safety is always a #1 priority. I have personally been at Borrowdale for 11 years and I have learned how to take care of all the animals as well as ride a lot of the horses.

I started taking lessons at Borrowdale in 1978. Thirty nine years and three horses later, I am still riding and boarding there. Exceptionally knowledgeable, concerned and involved instructor, trainer and barn manager. Simply the best. If there is a fourth horse in the cards for me, he or she will be at Borrowdale too!
