I called Dr. Edwards at the recommendation of my regular veterinarian. My dog was perfectly fine when I left for work and when I got home she couldn't use her back legs. Dr. Edwards called me back the same night and gave me an appointment for the next day. I've had 4 visits with Dr. Edwards and I have to hold my dog back from running all over the house and playing with my other dog; she is almost back to her previous strength. Between treatments by Dr. Edwards and medication from my regular veterinarian I have my dog back. I will continue to see Dr. Edwards because I have seen firsthand the power of acupuncture.

Our then 16 yo Springer Maggie had hind end weakness, disc disease and renal failure. We couldn't give her medications and our animal chiropractor had heard good things about Dr Edwards. After her treatments with Dr Edwards, she regained her vitality, was much more comfortable, walked better, and had better appetite. Maggie finally transitioned a few weeks short of her 17 the birthday, but we got another almost year of quality life with our girl, largely due to Dr Edwards expertise and compassion. Cats may have 9 lives but Dr. Edwards has given my dog a new lease on life --- at least twice. Two years ago when my aging (11 year old) border collie wasn't able to stand well on her own, or without being in obvious pain, it was suggested I take her for acupuncture. In only one visit with Dr. Edwards my dog was lively, playful, and able to stand on her own. I took her for a few more visits just to be sure; I couldn't believe that prior to treatment I considered training wheels to help my dog walk and now she was acting as spry as a pup. I am very happy to say that my dog's condition has stabilized and she never returned to the same deteriorating state as before the acupuncture treatment with Dr. Edwards. This year, I made another acupuncture appointment with Dr. Edwards for my now 13 year-old dog because I thought her slowing down was due to aging and she could use a boost. (I periodically get acupuncture treatments myself for a boost.) However, during an intensive intake, Dr. Edwards expressed concern that my dog's signs were not simply aging but that it could be renal disease. She assured me that if treated early there is hope. Testing confirmed that my best friend does have early stage renal disease and we are now on a new protocol that will hopefully give my dog quality living until the end. I will be forever grateful to Dr. Edwards and for her dedication, kindness, and wisdom in helping our beloved creatures live the best possible lives.
