Steel Cactus Mexican Restaurant and Cantina

My mommy and daddy took me here on my 35th birthday and we had a fortnite themed party. I ordered a kids beef and cheese taco. There was barely and beef in the actual taco. I had high hopes for this restaurant, but they were not met. Not to mention the service was extremely slow. I regret coming here and wish I had my fortnite birthday at mcdonald's.

A single waitress for about 30 people at lunch on a Thursday! She did her best and is the only reason I’m giving 2 stars instead of 1.

This is not a lunch time friendly restaurant. Took about 45 mins for our food.. which was the soup and salad item.. and one signature taco. Had to take my meal to go.. the restaurant is visibly slow so I’m not understanding what the hold up is. Edit- I went back (oops) I was trying really hard to like this place, bc there’s limited restaurants in southpointe. We were seated at 12:10.. and order the soup and salad with one signature taco.. again. By 12:47 I asked if my food could be brought out in a to go container bc I didn’t have enough time to eat my meal at that point. At 12:57 I told the waitress to not worry about it, I had to leave. Didn’t even get to eat lunch smh. Once again the restaurant was slow with customers... Long story short, they suck. I won’t be back.

The food is great. The service was good and the bar manager made the experience great. He was great to have at the bar. Will be coming back. And if I have to pick a quick dish I would say get the buffalo tacos very good. And for a good price.
