I had an extremely positive experience with First Choice in Home Care. I was given their information from the Area Agency on Aging. They were able to schedule the assessment and move forward with services in a very short time frame. In addition, they were especially kind and informative while helping me navigate the whole experience to assist my elderly father be able to remain living independently. I would highly recommend this company. I am very appreciative of not just their services, but also their empathy and compassion they showed me and my family.

Working at First Choice has been a huge blessing. All the staff are so welcoming and willing to help with any thing you need. It is so refreshing to work for a family oriented company who allows you to have a felxible schedule. From the office staff to the caregivers and clients, First Choice is truley wonderful place to be.

I began working for Karen for the second time in 2018. She graciously hired me back and immediately put me to work. I asked if she could keep my clients in the Bedford area as much as was possible and she had no problem finding me clients to work with. But, I digress. For you who find yourself working for Karen at this time, let me say this, count your blessings. True, other agencies may pay a bit more but sometimes the extra money is just not worth the effort. Believe me when I say that all agencies are not created equal. I find myself working for an agency in another part of the state at this time and I am just a number. There's not much comeradery between the workers. Karen's door is always open to her employees. You can't imagine how glad I am that I had the pleasure of being trained by First Choice. After a few months of being away from the area I called Karen for a few minutes. Donna still remembered the sound of my voice. If we had issues about our clients or job in general Karen was always available and welcomes you in to discuss your situation. There's something to say about small town businesses, you know everyone and everyone knows you. I still have clients who contact me via social media. I know we're not out there working for the fun of it and we do need our paychecks but just remember that the grass is definitely not always greener. You may be getting a few cents more in pay but are you willing to give up a part of your integrity to become just a statistic on their payroll? If you're leaving First Choice for more pay or whatever reason, make sure you look very carefully before you leap. Karen is one of the fairest employers I have ever worked for and if I ever find myself back in Bedford looking for work, I would most certainly go to Karen before going anywhere else. You have no fear of Karen, Donna or Lori treating you badly. They're all there to help you. First Choice just doesn't take good care of their clients, they take great care of you, the caregiver too. Believe me, you don't know how important the little things are until you don't have them anymore. I never really appreciated getting my supplies from the office until I had to start buying my own. I know, a box of gloves may not seem important until you have to buy them. It was always so easy just to stop by the office and tell any of the girls what you needed and for who and you walked out with supplies that you needed for your assignment. I may work for another agency now but I still treat my people as Karen would expect me to. I still use the tools that I learned from First Choice in my job now. And for anyone thinking about homecare for a family member do not hesitate to check out First Choice in Homecare before looking elsewhere. They treat your family member like family. And for Donna and Lori, well what can I say? You gals are grrrrrreat!

I have clients who receive services from First Choice in Home Care and they are very pleased. The staff is courteous and friendly and efficient.

I received outstanding service from Karen Everhart and her excellent staff at First choice for my Uncle--- both in his home and in Donahue and Colonial Courtyard..
The staff are well trained, professional and performed in an outstanding manner for 4 years in the care of my Uncle who had dementia.
I continued to utilize staff from First Choice after my Uncle moved to Donahue and Colonial Court....
The communication between this agency and myself was first rate-- I would rank First Choice at an A++ level..
