Although going to a urgent while on vacation isnt what one plans for .. our experience at this clinic was one of the best Ive ever had !! The front desk gal I called before arriving was extremely kind and told us to get in ASAP , once there we only waited a few minutes to be taken back to our room , and only waited a few minutes to see Doc ! Everyone in this clinic were very sweet and got my teenager to Amelie and laugh :)) it was so cute . Of course most importantly I felt in very good hands there . Would definitely make my primary doctor if we lived there.

Had a medical issue while visiting Sunriver and discovered High Desert Family Medicine. Wow! It was like hitting a medical home run! Great staff, responsive, courteous, fun and very competent. One stop shopping; they took care of everything! We left there feeling well, happy, and thankful. It was a delightful experience from the monolithic, impersonal medicine we so often experience these days. This was medicine with personality. Absolutely refreshing!

In the midst of a global pandemic, one might feel that medical staff would be exemplary of transmission hygiene standards. I'm a local resident and walked in to ask about their flu shots yesterday. Not one person in the clinic was wearing a mask, not the patients, not the nurses, not the front desk staff as far as I could see. Needless to say, I won't be returning.
