They overbook themselves but keep taking on more clients. Poor communication. I didn't find out until the week it was supposed to be delivered that it would be roughly another 6 months and thousands more to get the building I ordered. The initial engineering cost was $7,000 and if you cancel the building they will give you only half back. $3,500 seems like a steep engineering fee for such a basic building. I can see how it would be very profitable for the company to take all the jobs that come in because when people cancel they still get paid $3,500. They told me that they were 70 buildings behind. It's definitely a win-win for the company. But a lose lose for the buyer. They have the best initial price for the building. But when Costco goes up they are the same price as everyone else. Responding to the message below, when I called and talked to someone. When they said it would be thousands more I asked why? Because I already paid most of it. He said due to inflation and because they have not started fabrication yet then I was on the hook for more money. And roughly 6 months behind. That is why I cancelled. So this whole thing about already entered the fabrication is a lie.

Our policy, which is clearly stated in our contract, and reviewed by and agreed to by each customer who signs them, is that we reserve the right to retain 100% of any plan fee deposit. Our 50% refund to you is a generous and unwarranted gesture by our staff, and covered much more in operational expenses than an engineering fee. Furthermore, every building industry (residential, commercial, industrial, etc.) continues to see unfortunate delays, all of which remain out of our control. All that being said, we do take every customer and every job very seriously, and we hope that if you have any additional questions, or would like to discuss further, that you’ll reach out to us at 503.668.7211. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. At first customer service was good. But after they get the money in full, they dont answer emails or phone calls regarding something they messed up. I chose a color from the charts and samples given to me. They changed the brand and chose a similar color without even letting me know. To this day theres not any kind of resolution for this, its been 6 months! The good reviews must be from people who got lucky. Dont take the risk. Get your building ordered elsewhere.

You received Charcoal Brown. After your initial complaint, we sent two employees to your job site to verify the color. It is Charcoal Brown. Because you were adamant that the color was incorrect, we offered to replace it. You declined. We then offered to purchase materials for an add-on. You declined, purchased them yourself, and presented us with an invoice for parts and labor. That was not the offer. We have communicated, sent employees to your site, and offered two generous resolutions. We have not ignored you. We hope you enjoy your new building as have thousands of customers through the years.

We have used Websteel to to engineer and supply our Barndominium building. Jeff Stipe went above and beyond to work with us. We had a million of questions and he paciently worked trhough all on them. Jeff was also great at advising and sharing ideas to make the project better and kept us out of harms way. Were working with them on another project and refeer Websteel to any one that is intrested.
