I have been a member of SEIU 503 for a total of 20 years; 5 as a state worker & 15 in local government. Ive seen programs, organizers, supervisors, & local leaders come & go. Ive been involved with local government & participated on several SEIU executive boards. Ive worked on campaigns & taken advantage of member leader development programs. Ive seen just about everything. Id like to point out a few things from my experiences with SEIU. I have worked with some of the most professional, caring, supportive, dynamic, intelligent, flexible, creative people Ive ever collaborated with! SEIU 503 is all about the worker & how they can make our lives better! Do we always agree on how to do that? No but we always come to the best solution possible. Working in a union is extremely demanding & difficult at times. Its a high intensity job with constant moving parts. Members arent data on a spread sheet. They are human beings, with individual struggles, in unique situations. SEIU recognizes this & treats us as such. That is no easy task when youre dealing with thousands of members that all have different & unique situations that need to be address at the same time! Thank You SEIU 503 for tirelessly working to make our lives better! We appreciate you!

I am an essential worker (HCW) for 1 client in Douglas County (south county), I worked both pandemics and I am still my hazard pay. I am hoping i will get it like every other home care worker and personal support worker did

I am a state employee and called to cancel my membership but they told me to wait 6 months, called 6 months later and they didnt let me cancel. I got yelled at by the representative who answered the call and said I was ungrateful for not wanting to pay. If I could put 0 stars I would!!!
