Salem Sleep Medicine is everything you hope for when you are meeting with a medical specialist, the are patient centered and have great bedside manner. Matthew, in billing, and really the entire billing department, has helped me to understand my coverages and even taken the time to figure out options that will work for me as a patient. Matthew in particular has always been kind, courteous, and prompt in his follow up with me in the two or three times I've spoken with him.

Horrible place, we went there to get help since my husband has had a hard time sleeping for a ling time. The doctor does not listen to our concerns! My husband told them the machine is not letting him breath and for a year we fought this trying to resolve this in a calm way. In the end we had to return the machine and my husband is still suffering.

I had a 15 minute sleep consult with Dr. Shim. I found him to be very informative, personable and helpful. The staff also seemed competent and friendly. I am looking forward to hopefully getting some resolution to my massive insomnia issues!

I initially had a good visit but the Dr Shim left me with a hand written note on which CPAP to buy and said it was time for a new one. I suppose it could be my mistake for not following up sooner on a prescription assumed to be part of the process? I thought a script would be tied to my profile since the Dr himself told me to go buy a new unit and knows Id need a script for a CPAP. When I went to go purchase a cpap I was promptly reminded of needing a prescription and my insurance also wants a letter of authorization saying I need this. My problem with this facility is Ive talked to receptionist twice (who has been very polite) and informed me the Dr needs to sign a script. This seems very easy to me, go get the Dr to sign the script and send an authorization to my insurance. Simple simple stuff in the medical Industry. Instead Ive waited 4 Buisness days asking diligently for this to be addressed as its my health that suffers each night not having a unit. Yet the answer I get is the Dr will get to it with zero time line or sense of urgency. This is not acceptable and if staffing is the reason or Dr availability use this review to address your underwhelming performance. Its not fair to your patients. Ill drive to Portland next time as the additional drive time for service will be time well spent than waiting on the back end for a script that should have already been there. Dr Shim.Be available for your patients outside of when they have an appointment with you.
