They are amazing!! They came out on a weekend and fixed our water heater that was just installed by someone else. They made a terrible situation so much better. They did such a good job that we hired them to do the install work for our home addition. Super happy to be working with them again.

I hired Gene to cap off the lines of a shower valve, it took him 40 minutes and he charged me $1000, it was outrageous. When I complained about the price, he threatened to go after the homeowner if I didn’t pay what he demanded. I am a general contractor, I have dealt with a lot of plumbers in my days, but I never dealt with a plumber like Gene before, he is a flat out con man. I’m not one to leave reviews, but this man’s behavior was so unprofessional, so beyond the norm, that I felt compelled to warn others in the hope of saving them some grief and a whole lot of money. We had a plumbing emergency on a Saturday, the main water service line to the house sprung a major leak and we had to shut it off. I called two other places first that advertise "24/7" availability and just got their answering services that said they'd call me Monday or Tuesday.
I took a chance on Affordable Plumbing even though they only had three reviews. They answered and told me Gene would be out in one hour. Gene came out to my place, we both dug up the line where broken, and he replaced the bad section of the line including the shut-off valve. The work done looked very good. He knew what he was doing. He even cleaned up after by filling the hole and putting the valve cover box back in place.
After he finished, since he was already there, I asked him if he could clean out our storm drain pipe, which had been backing up during heavy rains. He could, and did.
The price was reasonable, especially considering it was on short-notice on a Saturday. Gene was good to work with and had much more patience for my kids than I did as they gathered around to watch and ask questions. His work truck is probably the most organized I've ever seen, which is a good sign of professionalism to me. He had the parts and tools and was able to get to them quick.
Very satisfied. In just a few hours he saved me from a really rough weekend with no water to the house. I'll definitely call him again if needed. Thanks!
