Paradise Pen

Had a pleasant experience visiting these folks a day ago. I was able to find the store relatively easily despite being new to the city, and the staff was friendly and engaging. I had some trouble picking inks due to color-blindness, but the lasses there were more than happy to help. I greatly appreciate this sort of customer service, and I will definitely be returning for any other pen-related needs.

Wide selection of nice fountain pens. The same pens can be bought for less Online but it is priceless to be able to handle the pens before buying. The store lady is friendly and very helpful.

Though Paradise Pen has been in this location for some time, I recently discovered it myself and am glad that I did. The store itself is very professional and carries a wide variety of nice pens in any price range. They do, of course, carry finer pens such as Mont Blonc, but I was surprised and happy to see that they also carried pens such as the Pilot Vanishing Point, the Lamy Safari, the Retro 51 Tornado, and even Fisher Space Pens. The store also stocks a few nice notebooks such as Rhodia pads and Leuchtturm1917 which was a bonus. The store manager, Karen, was very friendly and very helpful when showing me different brands and models. She made sure I was able to try out any pen that I was interested in and made some very nice recommendations. Many of these recommendations were of pens that she personally uses, so it was nice to see that she not only knows what she is talking about, but uses what she sells too. Paradise Pen is a great location for those looking to buy a pen that might otherwise need to be purchased online without allowing for a chance to get to try out the pen first. The prices are competitive with others I have seen as well, making sure that this is one store that will stay on my list for future purchases.

I just needed a simple refill for a pen I like. The woman got the job done and tried a couple of different options. Still, I agree with the attitude posted in other reviews; the vibe I was getting was not a friendly one, as the saleswoman seemed aloof. They had the part I needed while OfficeDepot down the block didn't so they came through for me.
