Guitar Ukulele & Banjo Lessons with Norman Hamilton

Ive been taking banjo lessons from Norman for about 9 months now and it has been great. Hes very encouraging and knowledgeable.

I highly recommend Norman for any and all music lessons! I decided to take up banjo for my 30th birthday. However, as a southpaw with zero musical experience it was difficult to find a willing teacher. I even had some teachers reply to my inquiries with a curt " call me when you learn to be right-handed". Then I found Norman. He was kind, patient and didn't mind at all that I'm left-handed. Norman makes learning stress-free and creates an environment where you feel comfortable asking any and all questions.He also lets me learn at my own pace and is very accommodating if my work schedule changes. I am now 2 years into playing the banjo and it is all thanks to Norman! He makes the journey fun, even for us adult learners .

my 9 year old son has been taking guitar lessons from norman for about a year at mount tabor music school. in this year, he has shown real pride in his playing, and it's awesome to watch. every class he comes out excited to show me a new song he learned, to "level up", and even though he's a bit wary of performing in front of strangers, watching him play for family members is absolutely heart warming. before music, he was just a shy kid, but now he knows he can DO something and he's good at it. norman is SO SO patient when he has a hard day, and that is very important to me - and to my son. norman has a calm way of settling a rowdy kid and teaching the important things without being boring. we are lucky we found him!

Norman is a kind and gentle man, great with kids, excellent at teaching guitar. We started with Norman when our son was very young and he continued with Norman for 9 years! Great instructor!

Norman has been teaching my two boys guitar and ukulele since my youngest was 5. He taught my husband as well. He is knowledgable, kind, warm, and patient. We love to music he chooses, and he is always willing to help them learn songs they like. We strongly recommend him to anyone interested in learning an instrument.
