Jewelry on 23rd (formerly Ritual Adornments)

Purchased a pair of Earrings as a Christmas present for my wife. One of the earrings broke in half within a week. I went back at least 5 times in the month of January and they were never open. Finally I was able to find the owner who sold me the earrings around the first week of February. I told him I was going to be moving out of PDX soon. He said no problem, took both earrings said he would match the unbroken one and mail it to me...almost 3 months later NOTHING!! Poor customer service...deception and lies. Lots of hot air coming out of the big shot owner.

Wow! I feel so lucky to have stumbled upon this place. It did not come up on my initial search for artisan jewelry shops in Portland. I was looking for a unique engagement ring by a local designer, something vintage or with a unique gemstone. Jewelry on 23rd has all that and more. I found something perfect by a New York deisner in the first 5 minutes of looking, but I couldn’t resist trying on a bunch more because the variety of styles and gemstones was so wonderful. Joel was so friendly and encouraged my perusing with no pressure at all. He was truly interested in getting to know his customers, everyone that walked in the door, whether they were purchasing or just admiring his outstanding collection of jewelry. I will definitely be back!

Very cool jewelry from Africa to Asia. He really has lot's of history behind the jewelry. Good place and people.
