Everything is a negotiation. And the lady is armed with many lies. She told me she paid 81% of market value by weight. Then did the math at 80%. Then said 14k is only 55% pure. 14k is 58%.
When I called her on her math she had an answer I was not prepared for for everything. Everytime she redid the math the price went up ten bucks.
But when I finally said, "this is the least I'll take because the guy I usually sells to pays...," the lady gave me the bump without hesitation.
I hate places like this. If you tell me 81% and I drive downtown, pay for parking, ect., then I want 81%.
You might be able to get a better deal than I was if you wanted to argue however long. Like a used car lot.
But if you want a consistent price then go to center street gold and silver in Tigard. Those guys never change the game. Their word is as good as their word.
