Mine and my daughter's favorite local Italian restaurant. Paolo never disappoints. Better than most memories I have eating in Firenze. The difficult part is choosing between the Gnudi and the Tagliatelle. The service is excellent and the atmosphere charming both in and outside.

I have been here a few times and I just really like it. I had my 30th birthday here a few years back and they went out of their way to make it really fun. Thanks all! I'll be back.

We were SO excited to try this place since the chef comes from the same region as some of our family. I placed a reservation over the phone with the help of a very pleasant woman for 6pm on Saturday. She mentions that they need to collect credit card info as there is a $20 cancellation this weekend due to the holiday; I let her know great, no problem and we move on to phone number and reservation info. She lets me know the reservation is confirmed and I receive an email confirmation that we're booked and ready to go, fantastic. Fast forward a little... Unfortunately, it appears we made it through the phone call without her collecting credit card info. I receive a voicemail from her later while I'm at work and unable to get back right away, stating she's their newest employee and has forgotten to collect credit card info and to please call back so that they can get that on file. And I think sure no problem, it happens we've all been new before and it's no big deal. I would call first thing the next day because now I'm at work. From the time of that voicemail to the time I receive an email from Elizabeth, their Reservations Manager, 20 minutes elapses. Elizabeth emails to let me know that not only did they not collect credit card info, but they don't even have that time available for a reservation. I've worked in restaurants before and, again, I get that mistakes happen and that's just the biz - you sort it out. What I was extremely disappointed in though is Elizabeth's handing of this situation. I believe as the "Reservations Manager" the situation warranted a call from her directly, not an email harping on the busyness of the weekend with a lame apology tacked on. I am aware that it's a busy weekend; hence why I called to speak with someone directly to see what was available. Frankly I feel as though she put in the minimum effort to make the situation right and ultimately felt that her #1 priority in this situation was making sure they had diner's credit cards on file, as opposed as their experience with and in the restaurant and staff. Definitely did not give me the 'intimate, unfussy, comforting, rich in tradition neighborhood Italian restaurant' vibe touted on their website. Che palle Burrasca.

That's how we felt from the moment we walked in the door. Our table wasn't quite ready, but the owner and staff mobilized to make us very comfortable for the few minutes we had to wait before being escorted to a beautiful seating area in the back. The wine and food were outstanding. We savored several smaller plates and enjoyed excellent service throughout. Delightful in every respect!
