This is always a favorite of ours - a perfect spot in our NW neighborhood. The food is always incredible (especially the lasagna) and service can't be beat. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great Italian meal in Portland

We've been here a few times and it has been universally great. Its foods are unique: beet salad with cara cara oranges, coniglio, papardelle cooked al dente in a rich wild boar sauce. I'm a good cook and try to duplicate the recipes at home....they're difficult. The staff has the perfect level of attention, there when you need them but not in your face. They pitch in and help each other so even of it's not their table they'll notice something and come help without being asked.

I think this place is confused about what it wants to be, half 80's night club and half attempting a 4-star dining establishment (it's a 3 at best). The music was so loud you had to shout to be overheard, our server didn't seem to know the menu very well and our food was overall lacking in flavor compared to what you would think based on the menu description (and price). Is it a nice setting? Yes. Friendly staff? Yes, when you can possibly hear them over the music and shouting of other patrons. Food? Meh, I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again.

The food was ok a little bland, bread was hard. Its definitely different from the restaurant next to it I love their food. This place is really just for wine/drinks. Kind owner hes a nice guy.
