        I found Dr Shumaker to be conscientious, articulate, and easy to work with. He is a very skilled surgeon and can clearly explain what he intends to do and why. He exudes a sense of knowledge and competence. I was especially impressed that he not only came into my hospital room the morning of my surgery, but he was also there when I came to. At each point, he was more than willing to answer any of my questions. The only negative comment I can make is a complaint about how long I had to wait to see Dr Shumaker.
