This business is operated by Don and Dee Lorenzen. My teeth were extracted at the end of April. My first appointment with this clinic was one week later. Don Lorenzen made molds for the upper and lower dentures, explaining that the lower (a partial) would take longer because part of it would be done out of house in another state. I had to have many appointments before receiving the upper. I didn't receive the lower until months later. Don and Dee were very nice. They were a husband and wife team. He made the dentures and she managed the office. They had served the community for many years. Dee Lorenzen didn't like technology and limited her use of it to a credit card reader and a fax machine. Don Lorenzen, didn't know how to use either. Their office phone didn't connect to an answering machine or service. She didn't even have a typewriter. She kept every record by hand. It was like stepping into the town of Bedrock. They are semi-retired. They keep office hours just three days a week. Those hours are subject to change and they cancel appointments at the last minute. They don't always answer the phone and they don't use voice mail. The phone just rings and rings. Sometimes they forward the phone to their home phone, but beware. If Dee Lorenzen makes an appointment for you when she is answering the phone at home, it won't be recorded in the appointment book at the office. This being said, they are hard to do business with. It took a large investment of time to have my dentures made with them because of all of the above. It took forever to get the dentures. My lower denture was finally installed towards the end of July. I left and 4 hours later I was in so much pain, I took it out. Making an appointment to have it adjusted was a huge chore. Because the phone wasn't being answered during office hours, I resorted to mailing Dee Lorenzen a note by snail mail, asking her to call me when she was available. She finally did, one week after it was delivered. They couldn't make an appointment for me but she asked if I could drop in. I agreed and, unfortunately, had to cancel. I had an emergency. On September 17th, I decided to drop into the office and ask to be seen without an appointment. During my many, many visits there, I had witnessed patients doing the same. They said they were booked solid and couldn't see me until another date. I said I wasn't available and told them I would take my business somewhere else. It was just the last straw. These folks are ready to retire. They like the income but working part time suits them fine. And, as customers, you are not a priority to them. They have done that and been there. It's their way or the highway. Period.

Nice people and they have been serving the St. Johns community for a long time.  This being said, they are hard to do business with.   Nice doesn't cut the cheese. They are a husband and wife team.  He does the dentures, she manages the office.  They are nearing retirement and only do appointments on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.  They are hard to get on the phone.  They don't have an answering machine or service.  They may or may not answer their phone. Their office hours are subject to change.  You may receive a call at the last minute cancelling your appointment.  If one is sick, they may both stay home.  The only technology they use is a fax machine and a credit card reader.  Everything else is done by hand.  They don't even have a typewriter.  If you call and make an appointment and their phone is forwarded to the wife who stayed home, the appointment may not be recorded in the office appointment book.  I had my extractions done at the end of April.  My first appointment with them was a week later.  It is now the middle of September.  When my lower partial was finally ready last month, I went home and 4 hours later, I had to take it out because of pain.  I have been unable to get the problem resolved.  I dropped in today and they couldn't squeeze me in, asking if I could come in next Tuesday instead.  I declined and politely severed my relationship with them.  As I said, they are nice people but I would rather spend my free time devoted to other, more productive activities.
