The cute little neighborhood bodega. A 1 has a little bit of everything, sure to scratch whatever munchies craving you're having, and a with a good selection of beer to wash it down. Small, quaint, and (I'm sure) family owned, I have always been greeted with a friendly hello here.

I went in and grabbed a water. First the clerk rang up 1.70. I gave him two dollars and he asked for an extra dollar because the price suddenly went up to 2.70.
For water.
On a hot day.
Not even the scummiest convenience stores I've been in have decided to charge that much for water.
I hope they serve the neighborhood they are in better than the guy treated me when I wanted my money back to leave.

A-1 is the perfect corner store to have in your neighborhood. John is the clerksmen who is always happy to greet you with a smile. I always find exactly what I am looking for here. Highly recommend.
