I have an old bag from Timbuk2 that is still usable, I went in to go check out the "new" model of old bag I have and it was a total bummer.The bag is smaller, has less going on, doesn't seem that secure and just overall seems like a downgrade from the previous model. I will be breathing life into my old bag and repairing it instead but it would have been cool to upgrade.

I had a very frustrating repair experience, and I have heard from others they have had the same issue. I have had my bag for about five years, and I bought it in part because of the lifetime warranty. While I had my bag, the water bottle pockets wore through (very fast) and more recently, both of the zippers fell off their tracks and would not zip the bag anymore. These were clearly results of the bag's design, rather than user error, but of course Timbuk2 refused to apply the warranty to my bag. Given that everyone else I know who has done the same has had the same experience, I don't know what I was expecting, but the company should not be misleadingly telling customers that there's a lifetime warranty when they seem to do just about everything they can to get out of actually repairing the bag. Stingy and misleading.
