Dr pretends to be specialized in oncology, really just a GP vet. Very old school. Doesn’t appear to have current knowledge on Veterinary medicine. Non professional when you disagree with his old school medicine. Don’t bother taking your pets here.

We’ve been bringing our dogs to Sunset Animal Clinic since 2007 - we drive up from Olympia WA for the excellent care, high degree of knowledge & experience, & we find we get results. My friend’s dog was on her death bed, she had been misdiagnosed by multiple vets & couldn’t even get an appointment with the next specialist for days & Dr Labavitch saw her, diagnosed & treated her in one day & came home a new dog. Both my dogs had very complicated medical conditions including cancer, Wobblers, heart failure, allergies, hip dysplasia & laryngeal paralysis. I appreciated that the doctor went over to the clinic in the middle of the night to check them, & was available to me 6.5 days a week. I often got a call on the 7th day to update me. He lives & breathes to serve & we felt confident putting our dogs in his excellent care. Both dogs lived to an advanced age, our Dobie having been treated & cured of 2 types of cancer, surgery for Wobblers with a positive outcome, pancreatitis & multiple stomach issues. The lab lived to 16.5 after successful surgery for malignant laryngeal paralysis, a large mass on his leg, & severe allergies. Dr Labavitch worked late on more than one occasion- his whole staff stayed past closing to receive us on an emergent basis when our lab started bleeding - they had a blood donor on site & were ready to go to surgery. They were there for us and we couldn’t be more grateful. We highly recommend Sunset Animal Clinic.
