These guys came into a job another company "wouldn't touch" and not only handled it efficiently and professionally but treated me like a person and not a paycheck. They were transparent with their bids and it came in 75% cheaper than the first company I used. If I ever have need for their services again they will be my first call.

Hughes Excavating's owner writes on Yelp, "E.D. Hughes Excavating has earned a well-respected reputation by conducting ourselves professionally and remaining diligent to quality, safety and customer satisfaction." and "We strive to exceed your every expectation."Ha! That's hilarious.  Their trucks track mud all over the City street when hauling away an excavation.  They leave their gravel truck parked idling loudly and spewing out diesel exhaust for hours several houses away from their work site.  They leave pickup trucks idling for hours.  This is not professional, and it's far from my minimum expectation from a well-respected company.  Spewing diesel exhaust onto a tree is going to damage the tree, and spewing diesel exhaust into the neighborhood pollutes the air we breathe.  C'mon - if you have a truck that's going to sit for an hour, just turn it off.  At a minimum, park it at your work site so you're the only one who has to suffer from it.If you need to hire an excavation service provider, see if you can find one that actually operates more professionally, and let me know who it is so I can call them too!
