An absolute blast. If you're on the fence you really owe it to yourself to give soaring a try at WVSC. I've been curious about gliders for years and finally decided to drop in for a ride on a Friday afternoon. Several club members were hanging out who made me feel welcome and talked me though what to expect.
Steve took me up and the flight was incredible. The ride was smoother and quieter than I expected, and flying so slowly really lets you take in the scenery. Taking the controls for a bit myself it was clear I had a lot to learn, and that I was hooked. Can't wait to fly again with an instructor. A great place to try out soaring and a fantastic group of people to learn from if you get the bug yourself.

Great group! Friendly, willing to share their extensive knowledge, plenty of instructors available if you "get the bug" and want to learn how to fly without aid of an engine. When you can fly without a motor, you really do know how to fly, and you'll be well prepared if you ever fly a powered airplane and have an engine problem!
