Panache

We had our wedding reception here in 2009. They closed down the restaurant and made the occasion very memorable for us. The food was delicious and the staff very gracious.

The third Wednesday in February my ladies group "Circle of Friends" met at Panache. Zachery did a marvelous job of letting all the ladies order from the menu on a day when he does not normally do lunch. He also prepared two special desserts which were wonderful. It is very rare to get a group of "seasoned"ladies to agree on anything but everyone loved their meal. His food is very original and always presented in such a special way. I personally am a huge fan of his seafood chowder and always love his salads. The chicken sandwich next to me and the fish and chips were very popular and a very nice size. Maria, our waitress is very proud to work there and a wonderful source of information about him and his food. She also obviously enjoyed the ladies. Zachery came out after our meal and told us about how he ended up in his own restaurant in Newport after a Peach Corps appointment and his world travels. I would recommend his restaurant to everyone who like a lovely location, special food and excellent prices.

One of the best places. We had ahi great!! Also halibut and lamb very good. The service was wonderful.

Had both the duck and lamb chops- were cooked to medium rare perfection. The sweet potato with ginger was to die for. Asked about gluten free and dairy free options up front and the waitress obliged us with several options- most of which were really good. By the way, the stemware for serving the wine is also top knotch. This is a thoughtfully good restaurant.

I had the special which was two skewers (rockfish and swordfish) on a bed of pasta with fresh vegetables and a nice broth. The swordfish was encrusted in a light pesto sauce. The vegetables were cooked perfectly. Very nice. My wife loved the organic green salad and Ahi appetizer. Nice portions. And, a great wine list at reasonable prices.
