M Brothers Construction

M Brothers replaced window trim and some siding on the front of our house. The original trim was rotting and at risk of water intrusion. Currently, getting any contractor in Portland is difficult. Getting a good contractor is incredibly difficult. Oleg was able to visit and provide a detailed explanation of what needed to be done and what should be done. He provided a realistic time window of performing the work, the team showed up as scheduled, and, most importantly, completed the work with quality materials and top level craftsmanship skills. No loose joints, generous use of caulking, show and tell during the project…all the things that add up to a quality result. Next time I know exactly who I can trust and want working on my house….M Brothers Construction.

M Brothers helped us out with our siding and paint project on our house. High quality workmanship and high quality product. Very knowledgeable and very professional. I would highly recommend them to my family and friends. Oleg and his crew are the best!

M Brothers were thoughtful, respectful, hardworking, and kind. The work they did is gorgeous and very well done. To the women out there: you know how often times contractors will only speak to the man and ignore you? M brothers were not like that at all. They respected everyone's opinion and created a professional and welcoming environment for everyone. Some of them are fathers themselves and you can see it in their work ethic- they were so careful to clean up after themselves because they cared that there are small children in the house and didn't want them to hurt themselves with anything. They were even able to capture my small yorkie who escaped twice! Lol. Overall I think they are a very good family and you will be so happy that you chose to work with M Brothers.

I had new siding & doors installed. Met with M Brothers Construction to discuss project. I had many concerns/questions and they patiently explained and answered all my questions, offered opinions & suggestions--actually saved me some $$$. They are a very professional company, great communication, excellent workmanship, no hard selling, very conscientious crew. Stayed within budget and schedule. Would not hesitate at all to hire again for additional home improvements.

Before I write up a long review that very likely many won’t read, I’ll put the most important part upfront, that is, M Brothers Construction deserves every bit of a 5 out of 5 stars, if I could, they deserve a 10 out of 5 starts and I recommend them with zero reservations. Siding is a critical component to all buildings and why I understand that investing money into such an event must be the right decision. Those decisions have three critical components, Price, Quality, and Schedule. With M Brothers, you get it all. We got 5 bids and M Brothers was right in the middle. Good companies know how to quote, it is not complicated and it should not take too much time. Quoting it a great indicator of a business’ understanding of what they are doing. (Price)Oleg - Showed up on time as he scheduled; he respected my time. 48 hours later, I received my bid, as he said I would. It was easy to understand and had the details I required to compare against other bids(no hidden fees or not included items). (Quality)My wife being in real estate has learned the benefits of resources such as Houzz. Getting high marks consistently is not luck. It take hard work to make even the most critical people happy. We have all worked with these people in the past and they are difficult, yet somehow M Brothers continues to receive stellar marks. I can say after having them complete my home, the work is exceptional. My neighbors, my friends, tradesmen all commented on the attention to details, perfect caulking, replacing flashing that was ugly/damage (not on the bid) because it was the right thing to do. When I hire a professional, they are the experts. When the product is done and I offer a critique about the workmanship, I often get a reply, “It is what you asked for.” Although correct, how am I do know there are 4 other options to install that COG or fix the issue? Oleg/Alex would not let that happen. They offer needed advice. They understand they are the experts and you do not hire someone “just to do a job” but to ensure the job is completed correctly and with the customer’s vision in mind. I would appreciate them bringing their ideas and thoughts as they have the expertise. With their advice we added soffits, we wanted to add T&G cedar ceiling in our entry and they encouraged it but when I suggested wrapping all the way around our porch, he warned about our sun exposure and the need to keep up with annual seal; I had mentioned earlier how I hated maintaining features. He talked us out of upgrades to ensure my enjoyment. (Schedule) We were fortunate to speak with them early. They usually order the windows but in our case we had them ordered. This did not impact their willingness help. Window arrival dictates when the siding is to begin. They worked with us, as the window schedule changed, they changed. They started the phases on time, finished on time, cleaned up after each day, and respected the space, the neighbors and other tradesmen.
