I was admitted to the ER for the first 4 hours, Sarah a traveling nurse really made me feel at ease, then I was moved to emergency surgery to remove many clotts in my lungs. The surgeon and his staff came in from home to help me. The surgery took about 35 minutes after that I was transferred to ICU. The staff is top notch they really took care of me. Tim, Carlos and Monica really made my stay very pleasant. They are great!! My last night I was transferred to the 3rd floor and the staff was great there as well. Maple, Savanah, Bert and Fred all did a fine job. Dr. Said was a outstanding bedside doctor. Thank you very much for the outstanding service everyone gave.

Today at Asante medford er I was in need of help. I was given a ct scan and an over pretty quickly I was prematurely warned by staff that if I was to leave without assistance in removing my iv that i would be reported to the police. Odd disclosure, but understandable. Little did I realize how my experience would be in the er. 5 hours later I did in fact want to leave and wanted that thing out of my arm. I waited and watched the entire waiting room be called back and discharged and filled up again I was done. Id rather die in my home then to experience the level of pain and discomfort in a waiting room that was disconcerned with my health. I requested to have my iv removed 3 times. The receptionist didnt seem to alert anyone that I wanted help. People continued to fill the er I asked again for help. I was approached by a girl that looked to be dressed in regular clothing with minimal indication she was a hospital employee inform me I had to wait for a room to empty up. I asked why couldnt it just be removed I wasnt in an empty room when it was put into my arm. At this point I was done and I was feeling ignored unheard and trapped I asked her to call the police so I could get some assistance. And she walked away to retrieve a very hostile female nurse and a male nurse who stood several feet away with his phone out looking as if he was recording our interaction. This nurse proceeded to tell me that the world didnt revolve around me and that they were waiting for my labs. I told her I didnt care I wanted to go . She aggressively grabbed my arm and squeezed while asking if I was ready and that I would bleed every where once she removed it. it felt like it was ripping through my flesh as it was ripped from my arm. I wasnt given anything to stop the bleeding other than being told to fold my arm and use my finger. I have a history of hemiplegic migraines, my father died at 46 from a migraine that ended in an aneurysm. I take my migraines very seriously and I have always been treated like they were a serious situation when I have asked for help. But today I was ignored demeaned and physically hurt by the staff at the Asante er when I came to them for help. Today I experienced the worst migraine I have ever had in my 38 years of life. I had sensations and effects that I have never before felt and pain that surpassed any other migraine I have ever experienced. Today I genuinely believed I was going to die. I go to great lengths to not end up in a er I try to manage my issues with my primary care and keep your er freed up from something as trivial as head pain but today I failed to. I suffered extensively while traveling to the er, while I sat in the bright lights and horrific brain piercing noise. It took everything in me to be upright with the throbbing pressure I felt surging through every part of my brain. I could hardly manage to speak and keep myself breathing. I have never felt closer to death than I did today. My entire right side of my body felt as if it was filled with concrete my vision had bright piercing auras that felt like they were burning holes into my brain. Being moved in the wheel chair made me feel like my blood pressure was turned up full blast and any moment my head was going to actually blow off my body or my brains would be forced out of my ears. In what was the most desperate terrified moments I have ever experienced I also experienced what felt like the least amount concern a person could have for a human life. I truly felt like I was going to invisibly die in front of an audience of uncaring strangers. I sat listening to the er staff speculate there opinions about how I was just having a classic headache and my medical history. I was told I needed to give a urinalysis, a cup was put on my lap and I was wheeled out to a corner in the waiting room where I was left for hours. I know the er experiences all kinds of emergencies in a day but I have always been treated like I was a concern when I come in needing help with a migraine.

If I could share 0 stars I would. Place is horrible, employees are rude (because they cant keep any) and the place is just after your money. Have had multiple run ins with the emergency room and have had a bad experience every time. Never going back.
