Captain Dan's Pirate Pastry

Pirate Dan is a genius with pastry. The lemon turnovers were the best I’ve ever had. Seriously. The crust was tender and the lemon filling was Fantastic. The bear claws may not look like the traditional bear claws you are used to but they were delicious - almondy with a delicate crust. Do not judge a pastry by its appearance or price. I will go back again and again just for the lemon turnover as well as to try new pastries. Thank you Pirate Dan for a fabulous morning.

I probably would have liked the food if the lady had rinsed all the soap off her gloves. Got miles down the road before I took a bite and got a lovely flavor of soap and disinfectant. It wasn't just the turnover, the cookies were also nasty.

I was a bit nervous after reading some of the reviews but went for it anyways. This is not a tried and true bakery as it mainly offers turnovers. We went in looking for doughnuts but our disappointment didn't last long the turnovers were phenomenal! And the owners were friendly.
