We had a fabulous experience getting our bird dog, Hitch, a black pointing Labrador Retriever, from Lynn Hanigan. First of all, the dog is incredible! We love him like crazy and can’t imagine our family without him. He’s an absolute delight in the house with impeccable manners, he’s an excellent field dog and enthusiastically hunts duck, quail, pheasant and partridge. He’s very obedient, super eager to please and off the charts loving! ALL of this, including Hitch’s house manners, is a reflection of the hard work and care Lynn and his wife put into training our dog. And if all that wasn’t enough, they demonstrated just how much they care about the welfare of their dogs by insisting that we drive up to Midland, Oregon from Los Angeles, California so they could meet us and make sure that Hitch was going to be a good fit with my husband (the hunter) and the rest of our family (including our yellow Lab girl). We were/are so very impressed by the extra care and responsibility Lynn took placing his dog with us that we are working with him to get another bird dog, even though we now live in Florida! That just says so much! We cannot say enough wonderful things about Duckworth Retrievers and highly recommend them to anyone looking to add a bird dog to their family.
