Highly recommend to sewing newbies!  Jolene is patient, knowledgeable and flexible to fit your pace and schedule.  One of my projects didn't turn out the way I wanted and now we're going to make it into something else.  She makes it work out at the end!  Looking forward to my daughter taking her class in the future when she's older!

After searching around Portland for just the right sewing instructor, I found Jolene and I am SO glad I did! First off, Jolene is an absolutely wonderful person. She's very warm, kind, and patient. She greets you with a big smile and makes the entire learning process very fun. Her programs are structured but also flexible at the same time - instead of just learning individual skills, she teaches in a way that teaches you skills while completing projects that you get to customize with your own choices of fabric, colors, styles, etc. She has a program for kids and a program for adults of all skill levels. I am a newbie to sewing and am having an absolute blast with Jolene's Sewing School. I look forward to it all week! Her prices are very reasonable and the personal 1-on-1 attention that you get in these classes is priceless! I highly recommend Jolene's Sewing School to everyone, whether you're brand new to sewing (like me), or someone who wants to add to their skill set.
