I Had a very bad experience at this this place I wish I could give it a zero star. But, I can't. I had a very bad experience with one of the doctors MA her hame is ( Ashley Tovar) she was so rude to us over the phone, when we asked why, one of our family members, medication was denied, she said " you need to come in if your they want them refilled . We told her, why do we need to come in, every time we need a refill ect . While we were talking to her she hung up on us!!!! . She sure does have bad people skills .

I cannot understand the bad reviews. I guess, to each their own! I have always had a good experience with the front desk staff. Derral Hawthorne PA has always acted in a caring and professional manner. I have to thank him for the time he takes to listen and understand what my needs are!

Came to NBMC after a major accident. Dr. Hawthorne was amazing and gave me the care I needed/deserved. However, SAIF requires that PAs cannot treat patients after 6 weeks, so I transferred my care to Dr. Williams. While Dr. Williams did submit referrals I requested, he also signed paperwork that said I was healed and back to 100%, even though none of my referrals ended up going through. I left numerous voice-mails and came to his office numerous times, but none of these calls were returned. His signature on those papers cost me the ability to continue seeking care under SAIF, even though I never saw any of the specialists that he referred me to. I even heard that members of the staff sign for the doctors without reading the papers and knowing how they affect their patients. I am still dealing with the after effects of my accident over a year later. Secondly, I could hear people from this practice talking about my condition at a local business, which made me feel like my privacy with my doctor wasn't a concern. Overall, I would have gone with a different doctor, even if it meant driving away from the coast if I would've gotten better care.
