I had a very unpleasant experience as a tenant here, and the icing on the cake was the $150 cleaning fee they took out of my $200 deposit after I spent six hours cleaning the apartment. For some silly reason, despite the fact that they acknowledged I did a good job cleaning in the final statement, they still took 3/4ths of my deposit from me. (Mind you, I also moved out early so when they went over my unit, at least a month had gone by. I called them and asked for a walk though the day I cleaned and they said no we only do walk throughs on move out day.) They also dont want people trying to dispute their refund over the phone so I tried to email them about it. My concerns have been completely swept under the rug. The only response I received was there is only one person handling disputes and theyre currently unavailable so youll have to wait. So I waited. A week later (without any direct response about my dispute) they asked me for my address to send me my refund. I took that opportunity to remind them of my dispute, they said the only manager that was allowed to handle disputes was unavailable, and when I asked for help filing a complaint, they said the best they could do was leave a note on Beths desk. Based on my experience trying to dispute my refund, I feel completely dismissed by Capri. I regret wasting all of that time cleaning at all because it clearly made no difference. I feel ripped off and this awfully large cleaning fee coupled with the dismissal of my dispute just shows me Capri doesnt respect me, they dont respect my time, and they dont respect all of the exhausting effort I put towards cleaning the unit. I have been given no choice but to accept that the only closure Im getting from this issue is that I dont live there anymore, because 1-it seems like at this point its safe to say Im being ignored and 2-Im tired of waiting for a response.

Supposedly has staff available 24/7 for emergency contact. Power has been out in at least my own and a roommates apartment all day and no one has bothered to respond to any contact. Similarly to other tenants when changing rooms I was conveniently charged my entire deposit in cleaning fees for services including supposed removal of 11 (!) bags worth of trash from the common area and full cleaning of my room. I guess between the time I moved out and the time of inspection someone emptied an entire dumpster into the common area. I also spent a significant amount of time cleaning and to lose my entire deposit to such blatant dishonesty is a slap in the face. Ill be sure to collect plenty of evidence that my room is clean when I next move out as Im sure Ill need it.
