Seriously, these guys are amazing Double Ace Concrete is a win. [Sorry so long... but we are really happy!] The best thing about them they are not going to price gauge you. Let me put it this way. The first quote we got from a different company told us 7,500 and we were like forget that. Then few days later we got quote by some third party salesman who came out with his corvette and salesman attitude. He roll his measuring tape around our yard he measured 800 square ft, but it was too late in the evening with no light. Then he quoted us around 6,000, which we thought was better, but still felt it was too high, considering what we knew the going price per square ft of concrete (installed) should be. Then, he was like, oh, on top of the 6000 we gotta charge you for the dirt displacement, and the rental of the machines, which will be another 800. So 6800 total. We told him that was way too much. Anyway he reluctantly bent down to 5000 and gave me the hard time about how he was REALLY hooking us up, and that they were barely going to make any money, the whole bit. Then he still tried to tack on the extra 800 for the rentals and dirt displacement. This was when I got brash with him and told him Dude, I told you 5,000 TOTAL not more!. Once again, He buckled and said he'd do it. He then tried to stroke my ego and tell me how I know how to haggle, but honestly I still felt like 5000 was WAY to high and was never going to use him. The next day my wife got a response from home advisor where a crew Double Ace Concrete, had seen our request and was wondering what the square footage of the project was. I was about to have her tell them it was 800 square ft, remembering what the other guy measured... but then realized he actually did a rushed measuring job and didn't even account for the correct shape of the slab requested. So I went out and measured it myself. Turns out, the salesman was WAY OFF, the job was only actually 600 square ft. So we told double ace concrete via text 600 sqft, and he responded immediately without even coming out, that they'd do it for (insert amazing Price here!!!). A price which was actually what we were expecting pay. I was like...Wait what! So I told my wife there has to be some hidden cost.. ask him if that including EVERYTHING, material, install, equipment, etc. Double Ace responded quickly with YES! So... we hired them. We met Double Ace (A really cool crew of guys) the next day, where he did he measurements, and what do ya know... it was 600 sq ft. He confirmed the price and got the process under way. They did a really good Job, quality work, excellent finishing work, even took measures to prevent splash from hitting my home and fencing. All and all we love the patio they poured.
